The Congressional Task Force on Election Security was created this summer to following the news that Russia interfered and attempted to influence the 2016 Presidential election. The Task Force seeks to identify solutions that will safeguard our elections going forward.  It is chaired by Committee on Homeland Security Ranking Member Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Committee on House Administration Ranking Member Robert Brady (D-PA). The Task Force had its first public forum in September and heard from former Department of Homeland Security officials.
